Hi! I'm Vatan, an Industrial Engineer passionate about data-driven process improvement and production planning. I enjoy solving complex problems with a vision built on data analysis, strategic planning and lean manufacturing.

Throughout my career I have focused on the digital transformation and efficiency improvement of every production process, from raw material supply to finished-goods shipment. Now, with this experience, I aim to create maximum value at visionary, goal-driven organizations by building smarter, faster and more sustainable systems.

I live in Kapaklı, Tekirdağ (Türkiye). Throughout my career I have worked at production facilities in Kapaklı and Ergene, and I am open to industrial engineering, production planning and supply chain roles with manufacturers in Çerkezköy, Kapaklı and the wider Tekirdağ region.

An Industrial Engineer who combines production planning with data analytics and digital transformation. During my time at Mercanlar Kitchenware I successfully managed the end-to-end planning of the injection molding, blow molding, sub-assembly, packaging, screen printing and paint shop lines. With my SQL and ERP (IFS) skills I automated manual processes, optimized capacity and reduced costs through data-driven strategies. My core philosophy has always been: minimum downtime, maximum efficiency and error-free data flow.

  • Production & Capacity Management: I manage end-to-end production planning across the whole plant, including 20 injection molding and 5 blow molding lines, and increase workforce efficiency through shift optimization.
  • Digital Transformation (SQL & ERP): I removed manual data entry from budgeting and planning and moved them to a dynamic SQL-based data system. I resolve technical issues in the ERP and MES systems with my analytical problem-solving skills, without needing external support.
  • Stock & Order Optimization: Through ERP developments I prevented duplicate stock reservations and increased the Order Fill Rate.
  • Cost & JIT: By applying Just-In-Time (JIT) principles in the supply chain I reduced raw material stock costs and contributed to cash flow.
  • Data Consistency (Master Data): I set up a dedicated team to ensure the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOM) and cycle times, minimizing material planning errors.

  • Quality Process Integration: I fully integrated quality standards into production processes and, with end-to-end control mechanisms, ensured continuity and compliance in production.

Capstone Project: Stock Optimization and Tracking Software Development

  • • Inventory Modeling: Using S&OP data (demand forecasts, lead times), we built a dynamic algorithm that calculates Safety Stock, Reorder Point (ROP) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for every SKU.
  • • Software Development (C# & SQL): We designed a user-friendly interface that can simulate quantity-based discounts and one-time purchasing decisions, automating complex stock calculations.
  • • Decision Support System: By building mechanisms that raise automatic alerts at critical stock levels (Safety Stock/ROP), we created a decision support system that helps users place orders at the right time and at optimal cost.

On the tools side: SQL (MSSQL), ERP (IFS), MES and C#. On the methods side I am experienced in Just-In-Time (JIT), lean manufacturing, Kaizen, MRP, S&OP and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) models.

What was your capstone project?

Together with Uğur Sayer, between October 2022 and July 2023, I developed stock optimization and ordering software in C# and MSSQL for Şişecam Elyaf Sanayii A.Ş. It calculates safety stock, reorder points and optimal order quantities. Details are on the project page.

What is your educational background?

I hold a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Balikesir University (2019 - 2023) and an associate degree in Foreign Trade from Anadolu University's Open Education Faculty (2020 - 2022).
