Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice
This notice explains how your personal data is processed when you visit the vatanvarol.com website and use its contact form, in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and related legislation.
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Turkish version, the Turkish version prevails.
1. Data controller
The owner of this site and the data controller for your personal data is Vatan Varol. For any questions or requests about this notice, please write to vatanvarol19@gmail.com.
2. What data do we collect?
- Contact form data: When you fill in the form, your full name, email address, message content and privacy consent are processed.
- Technical data: When you access the site, your IP address, browser and device information, date and time of access and the requested page are processed automatically by Cloudflare, which provides the site's hosting and security.
- Preference data: Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). It is not sent to the server.
- Analytics data: When an analytics service is enabled on the site, and only if you allow it, usage data such as pages visited, visit duration, device type, approximate location (country/city) and clicked links is processed. If you do not consent, the analytics service is not loaded at all.
The site has no membership, payment or account creation, and no special categories of personal data are requested. Please do not include such data in your messages.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

You can change your preferences or withdraw your consent at any time using the link at the bottom of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
The fonts and libraries used on the site are loaded from the site's own server, so no information is sent to a third-party font provider to display the page.
5. Third parties data is shared with
Your personal data is not sold and is not shared for advertising. The site only uses the following service providers:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery and security of the site (technical data).
- EmailJS — delivering the contact form message as an email (contact form data).
- Google (Gmail) — the email service where forwarded messages are received and stored (contact form data).
- Google Analytics — only when the analytics service is enabled and you consent (analytics data).
The servers of these service providers may be located abroad. Your contact form data is transferred abroad under KVKK art. 9 based on the explicit consent you give on the form. Analytics data is transferred only based on the consent you give in the cookie preferences. Data may also be shared with authorized public authorities where legally required, within the framework of the applicable legislation.
When you click external links on the site, such as LinkedIn, that site's own privacy policy applies.
6. Data retention
- Messages sent through the contact form are kept in the mailbox for as long as the conversation requires and are deleted once the purpose of processing no longer exists.
- Technical data is kept for a limited period according to Cloudflare's security and operational logging policies.
- Your cookie choice remains on your device until you clear your browser data.
To keep data secure, the entire site is served over HTTPS and access is protected with reasonable technical and administrative measures.
7. Your rights under KVKK
Under article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to apply to the data controller to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed,
- request information if it has been processed,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose,
- know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred,
- request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- request deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in KVKK,
- request that corrections, deletions and destructions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
- object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems,
- claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
You may withdraw your explicit consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
8. How to apply
You can send requests about your rights to vatanvarol19@gmail.com, together with enough information to verify your identity. Requests are resolved free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on their nature.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated in line with legal changes or changes to the services used on the site. The current version is always published on this page with the update date shown above.
